Our Dream Project asks collaborators to settle that question before release. They approve an agreement that allocates incoming revenue among them. As actual funds arrive, each person can see the source, the share and what is available. This is an editorial concept, not a product announced by Vara.
Credits with a payment instruction
Picture a small team selling directly through its own storefront. Five collaborators approve a split. A sale sends funds to the project; the contract assigns each share according to the agreed version. A clean interface shows the money received and the calculation behind each payout. It never displays an expected future sale as money in hand.
Agreements change. A sixth collaborator joins. A credit gets corrected. Any revision needs the right approvals, an effective date and a visible history. Quietly editing a split after someone’s work becomes valuable would be exactly the problem this product was meant to solve.
The contract can divide money it receives. It cannot compel a venue or streaming platform to send the right amount, decide copyright ownership, or make refunds and taxes disappear. Direct sales give the first version an honest source of funds; adding outside revenue channels would require their own reporting and reconciliation.
